This policy explains how refunds and disputes work on Hobbies. Individual sellers may offer additional return terms on their profiles; those terms apply when clearly disclosed before purchase.
1. Before opening a dispute
Contact the seller through order messaging to resolve missing items, damage, or description issues. Many problems are resolved faster with direct communication.
2. Platform disputes
If you cannot resolve an issue with the seller, open a dispute from your order page within the timeframe shown in your order details. Provide photos and a clear description of the problem. Hobbies moderators may request additional evidence from buyers and sellers.
3. Refund outcomes
- Full refund: may be issued when an item is not received, is significantly not as described, or the seller fails to fulfill
- Partial refund: may apply for minor condition differences when both parties agree or moderation supports a split resolution
- No refund: may result when evidence supports accurate fulfillment or buyer remorse without seller fault
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. Shipping costs may be non-refundable depending on the reason for the refund.
4. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, Hobbies and the seller may provide transaction evidence to the payment processor. Chargebacks opened without first attempting resolution may affect account standing.
5. Seller payouts
Payouts may be delayed or reversed while a dispute is open. Final outcomes follow moderation decisions and payment network rules.
6. Contact
